Donald Trump’s feelings towards the United States Military have been pretty clear ever since he famously wrote how his personal “Viet Nam” was dodging STDs in the 70’s and 80’s (his words from his book The Art of the Deal). Despite trying to put on a mask of “patriotism”, the current president has a hard time understanding why those in uniform would sacrifice for others. His recent remarks at the United States Military Academy at West Point made it abundantly clear that if he has to speak to those who wear the nation’s uniform, he lacks the mentality to relate to them. In this video I go in depth on why his speech was offensive, especially for those who sat in a similar seat over the years.
